Sutherland and D.. Buick, 31.1'., placing their properties at (ho disposal of tho club for the "meet." Much interest' was taken in, tho run, there being a great crowd of spectators in motorcars and traps, and riding and.walking. .Tuero.-was also a very large, field, of fol-. lowers—quite fifty taking ' part in tho. run. • Refreshments were dispensed by Mrs. Buick and the Misses Buick at "Cloverlei." • ■ ■ •In proposing a vote of thanks to the • hosts and the property owners, the president of the club (Mr. S. 11. Lancaster) said that it was very pleasing indeed to' see such a number of ladies taking part in the sport. They had the making of a very strong club,. and ho trusted that the voting men who took an interest in hunting would come foiward to assist in making the club what it should be—one of tho strongest in the .Dominion. With the permission of Messrs'. Buick and Sutherland, who had made them so welcome, it was proposed to -make, this "meet" an annual event, so that visitors to the'show and those who had hunters in" tho jumping events'could bo certain of getting a good run on tho last day of tho Winter Show.

In acknowledging the vote of thanks, Mr. Buick stated that they would always receive a welcome at "Cloverlea." Thcro wera not many sports that he look a great interest in, but he certainly did appreciate, a good horse, and they.would always find him ready to assist in promoting tho, interest ..of the club. •-.The "drags" were'laid by Messrs.
