THEOSOPHICAL ADDRESS.
Mr. J. I!. Thomson, of Auckland, adj dressed members and frieuds of Wellington Theosophical Lodge last evening. Tlio speaker emphasised the necessity for enthusiasm among theosophical workers. Study without enthusiasm and theory without practice were useless. The real student would think more than he read. Practical theosophy. was a consciousness of tlio oneness of all life. The belief in reincarnation should not be made ail excuse for procrastinating our efforts at improvement. Our daily actions should all be premeditated, but. meditation should bo directed not to physical centres but to noblo ideas. All religions should bo viewed with sympathy and toleration. Occultism was the study of tlio divino life in man and Nature. Theosophisls should consider themselves bound to maleo definite progress. At the conclusion of the address, questions were asked and answered. Mr. H. M. Christie presided. Mr. Thomson lectures again on Friday ovening.
