Salmon, secretary. Permission was granted the Waikato and Huntly Clubs to affiliate with the Auckland Football Association. A newly-formed club at Burnett's Face, Westport, 'was granted Affiliation. Permission was granted for the Brown Shield match, Otago v. Canterbury, to be played on July 8 at Christchurch. Tho Hawke's'Bay Football Association were granted reaffiliation. A letter was received from the Auckland Association reviewing and quashing the decision of a referee in awarding a goal in a match played under the northern association's jurisdiction. Tho Pon- , eon by Club challenged the' goal,, and the A;F.A. upheld its appeal. After a short discussion it was decided to inform the A.F.A. that, apart from the merits of the case, its decision was contrary to tho ■laws of the game. ; These laws provide that, on a question of fact, a referee's decision could not. be changed. The Otago Football Association wroto applying for the removal of the suspension (five, years) of J. Harrison, a member of tho Corinthian Club. Otago. Two' years have already expired, and the Otago -Football- Association stated that •they had no objection lo the remission of the remainder of the term.
