GOOD TEMPLARS.
A united meeting of the International Order of Good Templars (under the auspices of the Wellington District Lodge) was held in St. Peter s Mission Hall, Taranaki Street, last Thursday night. Bro. 0. Price presiding over a very "large attendance of members. The occasion was to welcome the Grand Chief Templar. Bro. G. Andrews (Ashburton) who, willi Grand Lodge officers and members of the Advisory Board were officinllv received. Addresses were given by Bros. Andrews, G.C.T., Pethonck, G. See., Strong (TT.JI.S. Cambrian), Abraham (II M S Pioneer), Pease (TCangitikei), and SMer Grimley (Leicester). The latter, who has been engaged for mission work, was given a most cordial reception. The sister is a very fine speaker, and dealt with the work of the order in the Homeland. Musical items were rendered by Bros. Strong, Tnwnscnd, and Hewitt. Refreshments, under the management of Sisters Tlcrdman, Millan,- and Atkinson, were 'handed round during the evening. A heart v vote of 'thanks, passed to tho Star 'of Wellington Lodge for granting the use of their room, brought to a close a most successful meeting.
