THE TERRACE SHORT CUT.
CITY COUNCIL TO BE APPROACHED. A well-attended meeting of those interested in the provision of an easier and more expeditions access from the city to Wellington Terrace was held at SpiDcrs' Hall last evening. Sir. .1. W. Pavilion presided, and in opening the proceedings elaborated (lie proposals (already outlined in Tin: Dominion) for a practical solution of the problem. Tt was also resolved to have a petition prepared for signature, and that a deputation should wait upon the City Council at its next meeting with reference to the master.
