EXPERT ASSISTANCE. The assistance of experts from outside is being availed of by the City Council m tho . administration of tho museum and library. Tho council last night adopted the following recommendation of tho Library Committee:— "That a Museum Committee, consisting of the chairman of this committeo (Councillor Hindmarsh), Councillor ll'Laren, Professor Kirk. Messrs. Stuckey, and Pethcrick; be s?t up; that they have full liov.er to negotiate exchanges of birds, etc., and to expend money to be handed over to them by (he Libraries Committee from time, to time. "Tliat a Book Selection Committee, consisting of ■the , chairman of this committee (Councillor Hindmarsh), Councillors Atkinson, aurl M'Larer., Professor Von Zed•it;:, and A. 11. Turnbull and Charles Wilson, be set. up to deal with Uio question of the selection of books for Llie library."
