Heesrs. Dnlgoty and Co.. Ltd., report.— At our TVansanui sale to-day we yarded ECCO sheep nnfl 63 cattle, of which we sold 1230 sheep and 20 cattle. The market was particularly dull, no business being done under the hammer. We quote :-Empty owes, 6s. 3d. to 65.; cull lambs. Is. £d.; twotooth wethers. 12p. 9d.; mixed lambs, ss. Id.; dairy cows, £0 to £5 12s. 6a.; heifers. £5 to £4 12<s. 6d.; weaners, Bs.; porkers, 23e. to 275. 6d.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company report as follows on Tuesday's eale:—Our first fat stock sale. held under tho auspices o! the Jlasterton A.' and P. Arwciation, was held at Solway Yards on Tuesday, the required number of sheep and cattle camo. forward, end suns exceptionally good bullocks were penned. Probably owing to the inclement weather very few fat stock buyers attend* ed, and bidding, especially for cattle, was not brisk. Some pood fat wethers came forward, especially a pen of 50 offered on account of Mr. \V. Howard Booth, these bringing the satisfactory price of 17s. We also sold on account of Mr. 0. P. Lett, lit'ht-weight wether?, at 15??. 4d. Store sheep were in slightly better demand, and rami* forward in csc&;? of advertised numbers. Uy the close of the sale wo effected a total clearance, prices being as follow:— Woolly lambs (small), 6s. to 6?. 2d.; store lambs (medium), up' to.7c. 4d.; two-tooth wether? (small), 7s. lid. to Ba. 2d. A fair number of r.heep offered, and sold from 4s. Id. to ss. <d. A lino of 521 halfbred owes r-old at Cs. In store rattle, a small yarding met a dull market. At Addington> to-day tliero were moderate entries of- stock on account of tlic wet weather, and the attendance was not. up to the usual average. Store sheep sold at ttboul' lata rates. All lambi at, to freeze Mid readily, and prime fat sheep at an advance in prices. Fat piss and good dairy cow;, sold well. There was only a small entry of store sheep, consisting of about equal numbers of ewes and lambj, aud a few pens of wethers. The quality was mostly medium, but there was a good demand and nearly all lots found buyers. E\res with fair to , good mouths and lambs were, if anything, I rather firmer, and 'wethers shows* no i change. Fair lots of lamh3 made Bs. to 95.; medium. 7s. 3d. to 7s. 9d.; and smaller, 6s. 7d: to 7:.; six and eight-tooth three-quarter-bred ewesi 9s. 6d.: mixed ages, 6s. 6d. to 7?. 6d.; aged. 4s. 9d.; and wethers, 11?. to 12s. k. There were 3755 fat lambs penned, mostly of inferior quality. There was a keen demand for all that would freeze, and prices wero firmer. There were 3199 taken for export at Bs. Bd. to 17s. 6d., mid a few extra, to IBs. 6d.; 105 wore bought by butchers at 12s. to 16s. Id., and 451 were passed at 7s. 3d. to 12s. 3d. There was a moderate yarding of store sheep, ewes forming the larger part. The demand was not very keen, and the salo was 3lgw, compared with tho previous week, prices, if anything, being a shade weaker for all but prime ciuality. Tho range of prices was:—Prime wethers*, 17s. to 21s. 3d.; medium, 143. 6d. to 16s. 6rt.; light. 13s. 6d. to 145.; prize ewes, 14s. 6d. to 19s. 3d.*, extra, to 20s. Gd.; medium, Us. to 145.; and aged aud light. 6s. Gd. to I lCs. 6d.; merino wethers, lCs. to 13s. 2d. I The yarding of fat cattle totalled 353 of fair average quality, and included some prime lines of steers. The &alc was somewhat irregular, and prices on the whole rather easier than the previous week. Steers made .£ll 12s. 6d. to £11 17s. Gd., and extra, to £11 for show bullocks; heifers, £5 7s. 6d. to *£1Q 17s. 6d.. and cows. £7 10s. to £8: extra, to £10 2s. 6d., equal to 245. and 28s. for prime, to 3C3. for extra, 21s. to 235. for medium, and 19s. fid. to 20s. 6d. for cow and inferior, per ICOlh. Veal calves made 4s. 6d. to 505., and extra well-grown, to £3 12s. 6d. Only a small number of store eatlic were yarded, being mostly old cows iu low condition. There was a poor sale, yearlings making 275.; three-year steers, £5 95., and dry cows, 20s. to £3 10s. Dairy cows made £3 10?. to £10 55.. there being a good demand for the better sorts. A small entry of pigs met with a good sale. Choppers sold up to BCs.-, largo baconers, 475. 6d. to 555.; and lighter, 37b.

to 455. (equal to <d. to 4Sd. per 11).); large porkers, 295. to 345.: smaller. 225. to 26;. (equal to vUI. per lb.). The entry of store pigs consisted mostly of weaucrs, and they made Is. 6d. to Bs. 6d.
