EARTHQUAKE IN MEXICO.

Mrs. Russell, who committed snioido at Fitzroy on Monday, after she bad poisoned her sister, a dipsomaniac, had attempted suicide two years ago by throwing herself into tho river I'arra, but was rescued. She then promised not to attempt suicide ngain unless she was sure her sister would not suffer in consequence. She knew she was not always able to conquer the impulse to self-destruction, and felt that her sister, alone, was unable to lift herself from the debasement into which slio was falling.
