His Excellency the Governor is to leave Auckland for Huntly to-day for a fendays' shooting. On Sunday night he will catch the llain Trunk express for Palmerston North, and from there he will como on to Wellington by motor-car on Wednesday next. To-day all.Cabinet Ministers will be in Wellington with the exception of the Hon. G. Fowlds, who is in Christchurch, and tile lion. D. Buddo.jwho is in Auckland. Mr. F. 31. B. Fisher, 51.P., will address the electors of I'etoue next' week. Mr. J. Colvin, M.P., is a visitor to Wellington. The Mayor (Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.) is reported to be still making satisfactory progress towards recovery. Sir Kenneth Douglas was a passenger by the Moeraki, which arrived from 'Sydney yesterday, ill'. Ilernian Lewis was also a passenger by the vessel. Mr. Kitainuri, a Japaneso merchant representing the firm ot F. Kanematsu, Xokio, arrived on a business tour of the Dominion yesterday by the Moeraki. Mr. E. C. Adams, chief passenger clerk at the local office of the Umou Company, returned from Australia yesterday. Ho was accompanied by Mrs. Adams. Mr. Joseph Hammond, an aviator of note, and a native of Hulls, Kangitikei, returned to New Zealand by the Moeraki yesterday. An interview appears elsewhere. Tho Rev. A. H. Colvile has been appointed vicar of St. Mary's Anglican Church, New Plymouth, and the Rev. J. li. Burgin, curato of St. Mary's Cathedral, Auckland, has been appointed vicar of St. Andrew's Church, JSpsom. Mr. T. H. White died at his residence, Graham Street, Auckland, on Monday, at tho ago of G2 years. Jlr. White was born in Auckland, and from June, 1891, onwards was mill manager to the Kauri Timber Company. Somo three years ago, Jlr. White for tho first time experienced ill-health, which culminated last December in a general breakdown, which kept liim from his duties until his death. Mr. White was known and respited by all connected with tho timber, industry in Aucklandmasters and men alike. Ho was frequently called to sit as a representative of the employers on tho Conciliation Council, and his wide experience and full appreciation of,the workers' point of view never failed to bo of service. Ho was president of tho Sawmillors' Association for some seven years, and also of the Shipowners' Federation. As vice-presi-dent of the Employers' Association he also did much useful work. For somo .15 years Jlr. White was visiting justice to the Sit. Eden Gaol, and in fact was the senior visiting justice of tho Dominion. Jtr. Whito is survived by a widow and a grown-up family of five sens and daughters. Jliss Florence Riclitcr, of tho Anderson Drain alio Company, was taken to tho Hospital yesterday suffering from pucumonia. Her part lost night was creditably taken by Jliss du Four, who joined tho company in Auckland. Jfiss Riehter's part in "Lucky Durham" will bo taken by Miss Hardingo Jlaltby. A Press Association message received from Frcmantlo last; night states that ,Dr. Borgia of tho JTarist Order is a passenger by tho Orient liner Orsova on his return to Auckland. At tho temperance demonstration in the Town Hall last evening, it was decided tn send an expression of sympathy to Jlr. F. H. Frasor, of Wellington, o'prominI cut Prohibition worker, who is indisposed.
