FEILDING ITEMS.

The Feilding Brass Band will give the last of the municipal programmes lor the year on Sunday. Mr. (Juinnell, JI.K.G.V.S-, who is t'o undertake the veterinary classes which are being arrauged by tho JFeildiug Technical School, will be ready to begin in about, four weeks' time. Very good support has already been offered this class.

At a meeting of householders at Kakanki tho following were elected a school committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs. P. A. Petersen, Pita Kiwai, Wru. Durei, A. Niel-en, and Win. Ferguson. The lastnamed was elected chairman.

The half-yearly meeting of the Makino Lndge of Druids was held on Tuesday night. Tho balauce-sheet disclosed a very satisfactory state of affairs. D.P., Bro. Tim death is announced of Miss Louisa C. Cleary. Deceased was an assistant teacher at Feilding some twenty-five years ago, and afterwards she was engaged in teaching at Hokitika, but. for'some time past, has been living in Feilding. Some two months ago Mies Cleary paid n visit" fo Oamaru where she remained until her death this week.
