WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY.
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Presbytery took place at St. John's Church yesterday morning. The Ecv. L. Thompson, M.A., of Carterton, was elected Moderator for tho ensuing six months, and took the chair. Tho Rev. F. 11. Spencer, of the British and Foreign Bible Society, was present, and was welcomed by the Presbytery. It was resolved to enjoin congregations to arrange for suitable services in celebration of the Coronation of King George V on tho Sunday preceding that event. A"satisfactory" report was'given by the commission appointed to visit St. James's, Newtown. Tho work of the congregation is carried on with zeal and success under tho indefatigable leadership of the minister, the liev. Wm. Sliirer. The large and increasing communion roll and a numerous attendance at Sunday School and Bible classes are indications of vigorous spiritual life. The Presbytery notes with pleasure that a commodious and substantial Sabbath School building has recently been erected. Advantage of the facilities granted to churches for the formation of senior cadet companies was being taken bv St. James's, Newtown, and Knox Church, Masterton. Tho Presbytery recommended that the Itevs. Inglis, Jl'Caw, Stowell, and A. 'J'. Thompson be appointed chaplains, in addition to the ltcvs. W. Shirer and Dr. Gibb, who are already on tlie staff. Strong sympathy was expressed with the No-License and Dominion Prohibition campaign, and tho liev. Sir. Thompson, of Masterton, was appointcd to advocato the cause of No-License in the congregations of the Presbytery. Arrangements were made for the visitation of St. John's, Wellington, Martinborough, and Fahiatua,
