The following school appointments in the Wellington Education District are announced:—Carterton District . High School, secondary assistant, Mv. D. L. Robertson; Taratahi AVest, sole teacher, Mrs. E. Feist. News reached Plymouth on April 2G of the arrival at New York..of the British steamer. Headley, from Monte Video. Tho voyage was marked by a murder, a suicide, and a fire, which raged for five days.
