MANAWATU HUNT CLUB.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Palmorston N,, Juno 11. A meeting of the Manawatu Hunt Club was held on Saturday evening, Mr. S. R. Lancaster (president) being in the chair. It was decided to arrange several runs in the vicinity of Wellington' towards the end of next month, and Messrs. Buick and Donaldson were appointed to arrange another run at Himitangi if possible. It was decided to hold the annual ball 'On July 2C, which 19 the dato of the-'steeple-chase meeting, and the general committee was appointed to act as a ball committee. ■ Tho following committee of ladies (with power to add to their number) was also set up: Jlesdamos Bruce, M'Ewen, and Palmer, Misses Wood (2), Buchanan, Shannon, M'JGweu, Lancaster, Shaw, Donaldson, Dunk, Stace, Carter, Buick (2), and Stopford. Mr. .1. Davidsou was appointed secretary of the Ball Committee, and the tickets were fixed at the same price as last year. The following new members were elected:— Messrs. Jas. Ifehir (Himitangi), W. H. Smith, J. G. Daylo, and Jas. Smith (Moutoa), C. Barber (Himitangi), 11. Webby (Palmorston North), D. Bennett (Awahuri), J. Adams, T. Phillips; E. F. Flanagan, B. Vile, D. Sullivan, M'Donald, F. M'Pfirland, — Foster, and Cyril Blundell (Wellington). . Arrangements were made to have thehounds on the showgrounds during the competition for tho Colliinon and Ciinninghainc Cup,, during the winter show, and it was also decided to endeavour to arrange a run at Abhlturst at an early date.
