A sensation was caused early (his morning in the Friedrich-Strasse, one of the most frequented streets o£ the city. A well-dressed youth violently dcnCTinced some polico officers for offering violence to a woman of the town, anil three of the police followed tho youth to it tavern, and summoned him to the police station. Tic youth drew a Browning revolver whicli ho fired, killing three polico and wounding a. waiter in tho lungs. Failing in an attempt to escape, he returned to the bar of tho tavern, and shot himself dead in the presence of tho ofher polico officers and the terrified patrons of the place. Tho identity of the youth is unknown.
