Washington, June 10.
In the House of Representatives, Mr. S. Warburton, a Republican member from Tacoma, attacked tho proposed revision of the wool tariff. Ho declared that tho Democrats were afraid to reduce the tariff further lest industry should be affected and 'the Democrats would suffer at the next election. Mr. A. J. Peters, a Massachusetts Democrat, defended the Democratic programme on tho ground that it was not possible to lower tho tariff on wool because of revenue exigencies.
