FIRE AT MARTON.
NO WATER IN THE RESERVOIR. ' (By TclcErapli.—Press Association.! Marton, .Tune 10. A fire at Marlon this morning destroyed Mrs. D. C. Betts's Sanfort boardinghouto, a two-storied building containing twentythree rooms, and Mr. Sid. Amor s stables. Practically nothing was saved in the boardinghouse, as it was soon enveloped in names. Eleven boarders escaped with a few belongings. The plant at the stables was rescued. ~.,,• u Lloyd and Company's building, on the opposite side of the street, was badly burnt, and the stock was damaged to the extent of £500. There was no water in the reservoir, and the firemen worked under great difficulties. The chemical engines saved Lloyd's premises. n Insurances:— Boardinghouse, .£800; content-- .C3oo—botli in the Atlas Office, Amer's slables, .£IOO in the Commercial Union. The damage to Lloyd's stock is covered by policies in several offices.
