Last night he addressed a largo gathering of employers on the great industrial problems. He argued that there is great need for cleaner politics, but the association could not and would not touch party politics. Ho endeavoured to remove misapprehensions regarding the proposed nfliliiition with the Fanners' Union. So far the Farmers' Union executive and branches were against affiliation, ono branch excepted, which decided to affiliate as a branch if the.rest do not.
