THE ORPHANS CLUB.
Last evening several of the members of the Orphans Club called upon the members of tho Arts Club and entertained them with a thoroughly good programme of speech, song, story, and rccitation. In the unavoidable abseneo of the president of the club (Mr. Rayward), Mr. 11. M. Gore presided, and, in a happy little speech, introduced the Orphan band to the )club member?. The entertainment, began with an address upon Epigrams, by Chief Orphan Izard, after which contributions were given by Orphans Echlin, Tinge.v, Searle, Gawthorpe, Hutton, Minifie.' Thompson. Keenan, I'letcher. Gardiner, Hickmott. Girdlestone. and Row-ley Robertson. After a light supper had been served, a scene from Sherlock Holmes was capitally given by Orphans Tingey, Girdlestone, and Carroll. Three cheers wero afterwards given for the Orphans by the members of the Arts Club, and "God Save the King" brought a most pleasant evening to an end.
