Tho Director of the Museum, in a report on the aboriginal remains recently found on the Murray River, says they bear no evidence of the existence of virulent disease. Apparently the smallpox epidemic amongst tho aborigines in 1789 Teappeared between 1830 and 1815, and swept throughout tho Continent, coming from the north or tho east.

Signor Taddeoli while monoplaning was caught in a gale at Lausanne at a height of 2000 .feet', when his machine twice somersaulted. Luckily t'he aviator contrived to hang on to the monoplane, and only dropped when ho was ten feet from the earth. He cscaped uninjured, but the machine was wrecked a few yards beyond where he fell. LOST ON THE MEDITERRANEAN. Paris, June 7. The search for Lieutenant Bogue, the aeroplanist, who started from IN ice with tho intention of aeroplaniug to Corsica, has proved fruitless.
