AV.F.A. WEEKLY MEETING. Mr. H. N. Holmes presided over the usual' meeting of the Management. Committee of the Wellington Football Association last evening. It was stated by the secretary of the Boys' Sub-Committee that a number of boys playing in the fourth division had engaged in fifth division games without having obtained the necessary permission.—lt was decided that offenders should in future lie firmly dealt with. It was also decided that the secretary be instructed to write to the Referees' Association, asking that referees' slips, containing the. names of players on each side, be sent in more promptly. The secretary (Mr. Williams) remarked that there were times when ho had not received slins until three weeks after a match had taken place. The Swifts Club wrote, protestin; against senior matches being played at Miramar while town grounds were available—Letter received. A deputation from the Kilbirnie Ratepayers' Association waited 011 the committee, asking for support in regard to an agitation for the completion of Kilbirnie Reserve as a snorts ground. The deputation asked that two delegates be appointed from the W.F.A. to join a deputation which is to wait on the City Council.—Messrs. F. J. Courtcnay and H.' N. Holmes were appointed delegates. A_ committee", consisting of Messrs. M'Keowcn, Roberts, Duncan, Paton, And Dick, was appointed to make arrangements for the forth'comip? games which are to take nlace in the Stadium at the Exhibition. The Boys' Sub-Committee recommended that the Swifts-Dianlond fourth division match be replayed if necessary. A telegram was received from the Blenheim Boys' Association, stating that it had been found impossible to send a team to play the-Wellington fifth division representatives 011 Saturday next. Seeing that arrangements had been made for tho match to take place 011 the Basin Reserve. it was decided to play the representative team again Brooklyn fourth division team. An application was received from the secretary of the; New Zealand trainingship Amokura's "soccer" club, entering a team in the fifth and sixth divisions; respectively.—Oranted. A telegram was received, from General Oiodley, asking for permission to hold a rehearsal for a Coronation parade on Newtown ■ Park on Saturday, .Tuno IT.— Granted. The Institute Club was granted permission -to enter a second sixth division team. WEDNESDAY'S GAMES. ■ A large number of spectators assembled at . the Basin Reservo yesterday afternoon to witness tho■ match between Union
and Y.M.C.A. Play for the first few minutes was of the give-and-take order, the defensive tactics indulged 'in by Union being a feature. Tho first score came from a nice picc-e of play by Plant (Y.M.C.A.), who sent the leather across to (he inside-right, who scored. At (he opening of (he second half (lie Union set the pace, hemmed tho Y.M.C.A. in (heir own half, and Union's centre-half opened the scoring account for his side. Shortly after this the same player scored with a high dropping shot. Gregory was enabled to add the third goal for his side just un the call of time. Hearts A defeated Hearts B after an interesting game at Newtown Park by 3 goals to 1. , BOYS' GAMES. The following lioys' division matches will now be played on Saturday:— Representative Game.
