STRANDING OF THE TOFUA.

BURIAL OF THE THIRD OFFICER, By Tolocrapli—Press Association—Oopyriclit Suva, Juno 3. Tho body of Mr. C. S. Hudson, third officer of tho Tofua, who was accidentally killed when the vessel was stranded, was buried here yesterday. Tho funeral was largely attended. The boatswain, Mr. G. M. M'Millan, who was injured at the same time, is getting on favourably. The accident happened on the forecastle, when a manila hawser parted from a kedge, cutting Mr. Hudson's legs off abovo tho ankles. Ho remained cheerful till ho died, three hours later. Mr. M'Millan received a compound fracture of the leg. The Tofua is undamaged.
