Jlessrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— There wcro about 500 balet of wool and crutchings offered by all brokers to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen throughout tho sale, and the whole of our catalogue was disposed of at prices very favourable to vendors. WoolAll lots of bright, clean crutchings realised satisfactory prices. Tallow—Prices were easier in sympathy with London market. In shipping order, 255. to 275. 6d. per cwt.; in tins and kegs, 245. to 245. 3d.; rough fat, 20s. Horns, lis. 6d. per 100. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We offered a largo catalogue. Crutchings comprised-the bulk of the catalogue, and these sold well, realising up to 7d. per lb., for superior lines. Skins worth about id. higher than last sale, whilst hidc-s were on a, par with late rates. We quote:—Wool—Rough crossbred, 63d. to 7Jd.; bright lambs. 85d.; slightly seedy, 7Jd. ta 7Jd.; seedy, 4i'd. to 4?d.; superior crutchings. The New Zealand Loan a.nd Mercantilo Agency Company report:—At our sale yesterday we offered 75 bales, and a number of bags of wool, also Ekins, hides, and tallow. The catalogues comprised about 390 bales of crutchings, and competition was very keen for lots free of seed and light in condition. Skins wcro in good demand at about 3d. advance for best sorts, and hides told at level of last sale's rates. Levin and Company, Limited, report:—We offered 135 bales of wool, 16C0 sheepskins, 550 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. WoolThere was a largo entry of crutchings, and buyers from other parts of the Dominion wore in attendance, as well as representatives of some Bradford houses. There was very strong competition, and we sold the well-known RFM/MY brand of crutchings at sevenpencc, and FBB at 63d. Thero was a good offering of crutchings, which, however, compared with last season's supplies, were of rather disappointing character, being in many lots seedy, and, on the whole, heavier in condition, and of poor colour. There were very few really good parcel? offering, and those catalogued consequently brought very full prices. Skins showed a tendency to harden for good sound pelted lots, while hides remained steady.
