Lane) urged that Sunday should be spent in preparing for eternity, of which it was really a foretaste. A resolution recommending that tho matter of the spread of Sunday recreation should receive tho anxious consideration of tho Church was adopted. (Rec. June 2, 9.30 p.m.) Sydney, June 2. The Acting-Chief Secretary, Mr. Flowers, told a deputation to-day that he did not intend to.close Sunday ; picture shows so long as they adhered' to > the rule's laid' down, and made no collection until after their performances were over.
