FOREIGN MARKETS FOR MEAT.
■ An item by-.the mail which left London on April 13'states-.— "There is not much news of progress in the European market. At the iv<oment nobody in London seems to. know anything about the direct consignment of" meat said to have been sent from Sydney to Switzerland. In Vienna, it is interesting to note, a limited liability company has been -formed under the auspices of the Austrian .chambers of commerce for the purpose of buying meat wholesale and supplying retail dealers at low prices without aiming at ranking a.profit. This is to combat the constantly 'increasing prices of meat in Austria."
