Arnst, t\i present holder, and Pearce for the sculling championship of the world, did not take place to-day as arranged. At tho meeting of their supporters, Arnst was not present, and Mr. Floyd, on his behalf, stated that tho champion had becomo suddenly indisposed, and feared a return of his recent trouble. It was decided to postpone the signing, as Arnst might he able to sign within a week if everything turned out all right. Pearce was greatly disappointed.
