AIR GLIDER-A "BREGUET." Wanganui, May 30. A resident of the llangitikei district, Mr. H. W. M'Kenzio, who received first prize for a. design for a glider at the New Zealand Aero Club's competition, has been working lor months on an aeroplane, which is uow nearly completed. He ha*, introduced many new features into the, machine, which somewhat resembles a Breguet. The main planes are 25ft. long and 4ft. Gin. in width, the engine is of 30 horse-power, weighing 1101b., and will drive the propeller 1200 revolutions a minute. Air. M'Kenzie expects to make .(ho first flight in two months' time. ECONOMIC QUESTIONS. | Christclmrch, May 30. The Colonial Executive of the Trades and Labour Council has made arrangements with Professor -Mills, of Milwaukee, U.S.-V., to give a sorier- of lectures throughout New Zealand on economic questions, as he has done in Australia. The secretary of the Trades and Labour Council lias been instructed by the executive to proceed to Auckland and meet Professor Mills on Saturday, and arrange Ins itinerary for the Dominion.
