FOR SUBSIDISED SERVICE. IBy Tclecraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, May 30. The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce at a meeting to-day passed, the following motion:—That in the opinion of this chamber ths time lias not yet arrived when an accelerated steam service between Australia and New Zealand has become necessary, but thi'.t if tho Government should decide to subsidise such a service Wellington should be made the port of arrival and departure, in order that. l>eing central the whole of tho Dominion should benefit thereby.
