ME. FISHER SPEAKS TO-NIGHT.

Mr. F. M. B. Fisher, M.P., will address the electors of Wellington, to-night, at 8 p.m., at St. Petpr's Schoolroom, Willis Street. He will reply to the recent speeches of Mr. Millar and Mr. Fowlds, ami -will also make somo interesting comparisons between the financial and legislative conditions of New Zealand and Australia. SUCCESSFUL MEETING AT KIVERTON. (By Tclcßraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, May 30. Mr. W. F. Massey and Mr. James Allen addressed a large meeting at Hiverton last night, and had a cordial reception. Their speeches dealt chiefly with land and finance on familiar lines. Mr. Massey predicted that the biggest task before the Government or any other that took office within tho next few years would be to clean out tho "Augean stable of malpractice during the last twenty years." A voto of thanks was accorded, and tho meeting concluded with cheers. Invercargill, May 30. Mr. Massey addressed a big meeting in. the Theatre last night, Mr. James Allen M.P., being this time n member of tho audience. Tho Mayor presided, and cordially welcomed Mr. Massey, who had a very good hearing, and roused much applause. A vote of thanks was carried by acclamation at tho close of th.e address.
