« (From Our Special Correspondents.) Feilding, May 28.—Rain on Saturday morning; fane afternoon. Sunday: Cloudy, with light showers. Otaki, May ' 27.—Weather showery; Chiefly light. Shannon, May 27.—Weather showery anel threatening; Manawatu River normal. Featherston, Mar 27.—Overcast; atmosphere warm. Light rain fell during the •Greytown, May 27.—Weather very mild; temperature liOdeg. F.; cloudy. It rained throughout the night. Wind N.E.; more rain probable. Wanganui, May 2i.—There has been twenty-four hours of continuous warm rain, the downpour at. rimes being very heavy. The weather is still very warm. Barometer 30.08, with tendency to fall. The river is about the same level as on Friday.
Mastcrlon, May 25.-The Rev. A. Hodge reported at C o'clock on Saturday evening for the previous twenty-four hours as follows:—Thermometer, in shade, maximum, 70 deg..; minimum, 51 deg.; mean, C 2.6 deg.; earth radiation, 48.1 deg.; earth -temperature (lft. below surface), 53.1 deg.; rain, O.Oi; wind, N.E., warm. The weather generally is so propitious that even tho farmers arc satisfied. Frost, so far, has just been enough to harden 'and improve young growth.
A boy, named Frank Moorland. 11 years of age, and residing at Pctone, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday sufferin" from n brjken leg, tho result of a fall off a driy.
