In. tho House of Commons, the President of the Board of Education, Mr. Walter Iluncimon, introduced a Bill abolishing half-time attendance at school, and enabling the local education authorities to compel attendance at continuation classes up to the a;jo of sixteen years. In the event of the local authorities beinu unable to compel attendance at confcinnntion clasECf, it is provided that the normal age for leaving the elementary schools shall bo raised to fourteen years.
