TRADES UNION FUNDS.
PROVISIONS OF NEW BILL. By Telegraph—Press Association—OoDjriebl London, May 26. "What is known us the "Osborno" Bill introduced in the House of Commons by Mr. Winston Churchill, Home Secretary, enables a union, after a secret ballot (superintended by the Registrar of Friendly Societies), to apply its funds for political ajid municipal purposes. The fund must be Eeparated frow the rest of the union's finances. Members of a union declining to subscribe shall be exempt from payment without exclusion from any benefits. A union shall not lie allowed to make contributions to the political fund a condition of admission to ineraberslip.
