May 2C—Warm, gentle rain of the variety known as "good growing" has been failing at intervals all day, nncV promises' to continue throughout tho night. It is.abnormalIy warm for this timo of the year, and there is cnliro absence of wind. The river is slightly swollen, and, if warm rain continues for any length of time, it may melt the inland snows, and bring down a flood. Feilding, May 25.—A surprise rainfall name on last night, and continued all day, and the sky was heavy tonight. Palmerston, Hay 26. —About 8 o'clock a warm rain began to fall, and continued all night.

Ofcaki, May 26.-7Showors of rain fell throughout the night, and continued to-day, these being accompanied by a warm atmosphere and light, varying winds.
