Henry, the oil expert, who recently visited New Zealand, interviewed on his return to London, said that the New Zealand oil industry deserved support. Thoro wero unquestionably numerous promising virgin oil territories in that country. Mr. Henry added that the latest drilling operations in Tnranaki had proved the existence of nn extensiveand productive field there. BIG NAVY CONTRACT. London, May 25. The Admiralty has contracted with a Glasgow firm for tho supply of ten million gallons of oil annually for uso by the Navy.
