A DANGEROUS ROAD.
ACCIDENT IX NGAHAURANGA , GORGE. Another accident has been added to the talo of mishaps in the Ngahanranga Goi'go Koad, reinforcing tho arguments previously put forward lor an immediate scheme of road improvement for that dangerous thoroughiare. Yesterday morning, while Mr. \V. Munro, engineer _to Messrs. Dyniock and Co., was driving down through tho gorge from Johnsouville to Ngahauranga, his horse became a little unmanageable just as ho was negotiating "18 Corner," as the most dangerous part of the road is called, and he\ was shot out of tho trap, over tho bridge and into the creek. Tilings were smashed up generally, and Mr. Munro himself had several of his ribs broken, besides receiving a severe bruiting all over. He was taken back to JohnsDiiville, where his injuries wore attended to by Dr. Kobertson. Ho is now progressing favourably towards recovery.
