PREPARING FOR THE FRAY
lie Labour party lenders are already at work organising a Parliamentary election campaign. At n meeting of the National Lxecutive on Monday evening, D M'Larcn, M.P and J W. Correspondence was received from various provincial branches. The party is now organised, and actively working in all tho main centres and in manv country districts. Tho executive is getting into touch with a number of branches, notably on tho West Coast of the South Island which have hitherto been'purely local in character. It is proposed ( 0 appoint a controlling branch in each electorate with which other branches in tho district will work in concert.
The party leaders arc reticent as to tho ,»-.eciso nature of the campaign now being organised, and us lo tho number of candidates to bo put forward, but it is stated that branches of the part}-, from one end of the Dominion to the other, will participate in n united effort to securo the return of a Labour party-to tho next Parliament,
