" According to Australian files to hand last night a statement has been published in Melbourne to the effect that negotiations have been opened between "Jack' Johnson to meet Clarence Weber, to prove which is the better means of self-defence, wrestling or boxing. Baker, who last year signed up Gotch and Hackenschmiclt to wrestle in Melbourne, says that Johnson, in reply to a cable from him, expresses his willingness to como to Melbourne and try conclusions with any wrestler under the conditions named.
