Messrs. Dalßdy and Co. report on their Talmcmon sale yesterday :-Goc;l wether lambs, to Bs. 10d.; mixed lunibf, 4s. 3d. io t= 3d.- two-tooth wether.". 11.". to 11s. 6d.; fat and forward cues, to Us. 3d.;' empty cows, £2 7s. to £2 155.; forward cows, £3 Us. to £4 ss. Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report having held tlioir usual stock sale at Upper Ilutt yesterday. Although the inclement weather was against lame entries, both sheep anil cattle came forward well up to advertised numbers, the total yarding comprising 12C0 sheep and 108 cattle. With tho exception of ono pen of .50 ewes all the sheep changed hands, and. m ">°f cases, brought satisfactory prices. A llrstclass lino of 600 two-tooth to f.f.ra. ewesin lamb (on account of Mr. W. A. Cot c) went cheaply at 7s. More than half tlio entry of cattle was made up of store coivs, and there was very little demand for this or other classes. Unlike the last few sales ' very little dairy stock came lorwa.rd, this being dus no doubt to the rough weather. Quotations :-Two-tooth to f.f.m. ewes in lamb, 75.; two and four-tooth oww in lamb, 9s. 10d.; fat ewes, 12s. to 13s. 6d.; fat ewes and wethers (mixed). 13s. Id. to 13e. Bd.; forward ewes and wethers, Bs.- 2d.; two-tooth wethers, 11s. Id.; fat lambs, lCs.; small woolly lambs, 35.; springing cows, £3 ss. to £8 125.; heifers on drop, £5 195.; fat cows, £4 17s. 6d.; bulls, £3 15s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palnierston North sale yesterday a good yarding of sheep came forward, but the demand was very limited and the bidding at auction was practically lifeless. A fair amount of business was dono after the sale, and the bulk of the entry changed hands at the following quotations:—Store wethers. 11s. 3d.; mixed and aged ewes in lamb, 9s. 6d.; forward empty ewes, Be. 9d.; store lambs, ss. to 6s. Id.; light fat cows, £5 2s. 6d.: store cows, £2 iOs. to £3 55.; two-year heifers in calf, £5 13s. 6d. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Liniited, report: On Wednesday we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. Win. Davis, of Linton. There was a. good attendance of buyers, and all lines sold well, the dairy cows averaging £7 2s. -At Palmerston North on Thursday wo had a. moderate entry of sheep, whioh met with a. very poor reception, every pen being passed at auction. We had a. heavy yarding of "cattle, consisting principally of steers and bullocks, including a good entry from Mr. Chas. Carr, for which we had a good sale, resulting in a total clearance. AVe quote:— Mr. Davis's sale at Lintou: Dairy cows. £5 ss. to £9 55.; forward cows, £3 17s. 6d.; fat cows. £5 2s. 6d.; weanors, 21s. 6d. to 305.; milk-cart horse, £16 10s.; two-year half-draught, £1(1 17s. 6d.; yearling halfdraughts £7 to £9; maro and foal, £3 Eβ.; store ewes, 6s. 9d.; slips, Bs.; milk cows, £7 55.; sundries at market rates. Palraerston North: Cattle, weaners 205.; heifers in calf, £5 65.; two and two and a half-year steers, £4 55.; three-year eteers. £6 55.; forward bullocks, £7 Is. to £7 83. 6d.; fat and forward bullocks, £8 Is. On account of Mr. Chas. Carr: Yearline heifors, £2 Is.; twenty-months etcers, £3 155.; two-year steers, £3 195.; two and a halfyear steers. £4 123.; three-year steers, £6 55.; forward bullocks, £7 7s.
