To-day the Hon. J. Carroll, the Hon. J. A. Millar, the Hon. E. M'Kcnzie, the Hon. T. Mackenzie, and the Hou. A. T. Ngata will be in Wellington, the Hon. D. Bnddo in Southland, and the Hon. G. Fowlds in Auckland. The Hon. James Carroll, Acting-Pre-mier, will visit Masterton to-day, to preside at the official opening of the new museum at the Masterton 'District High School. Tho Hon. T. Mackenzie, Minister for Agriculture, who has been indisposed during the past few days, is now improving in health, and was able to get up for a littlo while yesterday. Mr. Oliver Burgess, of the China Inland Mission, who has lately boeii holding a ssries of meetings in the South Island, will arrive in Wellington on Tuesday, May 1", and will address meetings in mid around Wellington during tho following fortnight. lie has spent twenty years as a missionary in , China, and has passed through many trying experiences. He will be tho guest of Captain and Mrs. Blackburno, ut 56 Hawker Street, during his stay in Wellington. Mr. J. G. Harkuess is due back from England by the Athenic on Juno 13. Commander Weniyss and the officers of H.M.S. Cambrian were tho guests of tho Wellington Savage Club on Saturday evening. A Southlaud pioneer has passed aVay in the person of 'Mr. John Milne, who arrived at the Bluff .in ISGS in the ship Jessie Qilbert. For many years ho was a hotel proprietor in Wyndham. The death occurred on Saturday, at Clyde Quay, of-Mrs. Mary M'Ghee, aged eighty years.
