OCCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
GAVE HER LIFE FOR HER SISTER. (By Telegraph—Press' Association.) Nelson, May-11. Tho inquest on the girl Lilian Wilson, ■who with her sister was drowned at Tahuna on Easter Monday, was concluded to-day. The coroner returned a verdict that deceased was accidentally drowned while endeavouring to save her sister from a similar fate. The coroner said tho girl had given her life for her'sister'.'He commended the courage displayed by May Smith, another young girl, who endeavoured to roscnp her companion. AN INFANT'S DEATH. Christchurch, May 11. At the inquest on .the body of a child found in a sugar-bag in the River Avon, the medical evidence showed that the child had been born on Sunday or Monday, and had probably died within two hours of birth of hemorrhage. No evidence'as to the identity of-the parents .was forthcoming,
