An improvement in the regulations affecting teachers at training colleges is contemplated by Mr. Runcimnn, President of the English Board of Education. At present those teachers who talce a. degree courso do so concurrently with their two years' training college course, and tho Tesult has been many collapses, particularly, of women, under the strain. Mr. Runcimnn proposes to give the students a third year in Trhich to take the degree after tho completion of tho two Years' course, nnd the cost of fws and maintenance will be borne by the State.
