DISMAY AMONG LABOUR MEMBERS.

Among the ranks of Federal Labour members (says the "Sydney Morning Herald" of May 1) there is considerable perturbation over Die emphatic negativing of the Government Referenda proposals by the doctors, and in 12 out of 17 direct Labour .wate, nml i» the two divisions represented by Independents who support the Government. There is a feeling that something untoward for the Government may develop out of the existing situation, ami since the numbers vent up there has )x>en among Federal Labour inembers in Sydney much laying together of heads and anxious speculation as to what tho future holds in store.
