DR. MAWSON'S EXPEDITION. "ONE GOOD TURN DESERVES ANOTHER." By Telegraph-Press Association-OopyrieM (Reo. May 9, 0.46 a.m.) London, May 8. Sir Ernest Shackleton, in a hitter to the "Daily Mail," makes a warm appeal for .£12,000 to enable Dr. Mawson to purchase a shin and start in June. Ho declares that Australia has done much financially and scientifically towards Antarctic exploration. The "Daily Hail," in endorsing the appeal, says one good turn deserves another. THE GERMAN EXPEDITION. (Rec. May 8, 11.5 p.m.) ' ' Derlin, May 8. The'exploring ship Deutschland, with Lieutenant I'ilchnev and other members of the German Antarctic expedition, has sailed from Bremenhaven.
