" MISCHIEVOUS & DAMNABLE. , CANADIAN OPPOSITION WILL FIGHT TO THE END. VIGOROUS DENUNCIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht (Rec. May 7, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, May G. Mr. Borden, Leader of the Opposition in the Canadian Parliament, at a Conservative banquet characterised the Reciprocity Agreement 'as mischievous and damnable. The Conservatives, ho declared, intended never to slacken in their efforts to defeat the measure, and to bring about closer relations with Great Britain. It has finally been arranged in connection with the departure of Sir Wilfrid Laurier for the- Imperial Conference to adjourn Parliament from May to July. The Government Tefused to agree to a prorogation as a new start on the reciprocity measure would ba necessary, and its passage in the session' is considered imperative.
