Play now travelled up and _;>wn field with lightning rapidity, Lewor, Karori, giving away an opportunity of scoring by passing too hard. The Blacks, however, kept firing at United's net, and Aitken, anion;? others, sent in a hard but wide shot. Wesley and Y.M.CA. fought their dual on No. i ground, and the game was fairly fast and interesting throughout.:'' Wesley led off from tho commencement, and sot un a few mis-hits. Again Wesley made efforts to score, and Birch, their right wing, received, a long pass, and Kored from n quick shot. Brolherton (Y.M.CA.) was next to score. Y.M.CA. again attacked, and Swan secured a point for his side. 2—l. The second spell was opened fairly fast, and A. Pnrlon added one more coal . for Y.M.CA., while Keys and D.
