WOOL, HIDE & TALLOW SALES.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— Wo held our fortnightly sale of wool, skins, hides and tallow yesterday afternoon, when we submitted a Rood selection of all classes to a, representative attendance of buyers. Competition was animated, and we are pleased to report having disposed of practically the whole of our cr.-a-loguc at satisfactory prices. Wool and sheepskins were, keenly competed for. and there was an advance of about Jd. on nil Rood skins. For all good-conditioned bides the markot was firm, with a rise on last sale rates of about 3d. per 10. Tho Xoiv Zealand Ldsii and irercantilo Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows :-We ollered a good catalogue of wool, skins, hides, tallow, etc., to the usual attendance of buyers. There was good competition, and wool and skins showed a slight ndvancc, but hides were hardly so firm, liveable on Thursday we were advised by our London office that it is anticipated that a rise of from 5 per cent, to 75 per cent, will take place at the wool sales, opening in London on May 9. The attendance of bnycra was very full, and prices hardened all round, being about id. per lb. lusher for wool and skins, and par to Jd. higher for hides.
