ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held in the Agricultural Hall A Carterton, yesterday. Mr. W. Howard Booth presided. Therewore about fifty members present. The annual report and balance-sheet (which have been published in The Dominion) we taken as read. Their adoption was moved by the president, who took the opportunity of acknowledging tho assistance given him by tho committees and tho great help of tho secretary (Mr. H. S. Moss). Mr. W. C. Buchanan, who seconded the motion,' supported tho chairman's statement that there should bo an effort made to increase the membership. The financial position was satisfactory en the whole, and ho hoped future annual meetings would bo presented with as creditable a balance-sheet as this meeting had been given. Tho motion was carried. The filling of tho offices was accomplished without an election. The offices this year will be occup-'cd as follows:— President, Mr. W. Howard Booth; vicepresidents, Messrs. E. Eagle, jnn., and 11. Morison; treasurer, Mr. G. W. Deller; auditor, Mr. J. Moncrieff; general committee, Messrs. C. Campbell, A. Clark, S. W. Feast, G. Gaskin, T. Ingley, .T. Monaglian, C. Morgan, J. G. M'Donald, H. Oates, D. Reid, A. J. Reynolds, W. H. Robieson, G. Sievers, J. Snoll, J. Standen, A. G. Tyer, and iW. J. Donbee. Messrs. A. J. Fisher, J. M'Guinnes, D. J. Cameron. A. J. Parton, and H. Moore were elected members.
