The checked census returns for Dunedin and outlying districts show the population to bo as follows, with the comparison for the previous censvs of 1900:—. Dunerlin City, 41,132 in 1911; 40,-1-18 in 1006. ■ Maori Hill, 2213 in 1011, and ISSfI in 1906. Roslyn, 5744 and 5138. Morninston, 4073 mid 4150. St. Kilda. 4137 and 2579. West Harbour, lfwl and 151 5. Port Chalmers, 2100 and 2120. Green Island. 1572 and 703. Mosgiol, 1596 and 1517. Outrani Town District. 429 and 431. Peninsula County, 2934 and 2477. Tilueskin and N.E. Valley Ridings of Waikouaiti County, south of Waitati Uivcr. 1083 and 2120. Tniori County, 5733 and 6582. Totals, 70,513 and 72.322. [Some of the foregoing returns, such as Mosgiel, Outrani, and Blueskin refer to townships remote, from Dunedin. Outram is 19 miles distant.]
