CONGRATULATIONS FOR AUSTRALIA. By Telceraph.—Press As&ocialion-Copyrishl Molbourne, May 3. Already a large increase in postal mutter is noticeable- since the inauguration of penny postage. Mr. Josiah Thomas (Federal Post-master-General) has received a, large number of congratulations, the messages including one from Sir Joseph Ward, who says:—"This completes another link in the chain of Imperial unity." Sir Joseph adds:—"May its general introduction throughout the world quickly follow." ' London, May 2. The newspapers publish display headings in connection with tho announcement of the inauguration of Australian penny postage.
