The Hou-e of Commons, by means of tho "kangaroo" closure, disposed of the amendments to Clause 2 of the Veto Bill. Air. ..-Hcjuith agreed that the two years that shall lapse prior to the passage of Bills over the head of the House of Lords shall dato from their second reading, not from their introduction. The Government refused to accept an amendment to tho effect that ensuing sessions should be of ordinary length, not bogus sessions in order to evade the Parliament Bill. (Eec. May. i, 0.10 a.m.) London, May 3. There was a lifeless debate in the House of Commons to-day on the Parliament Bill. The third, fourth, and fifth clauses wefe closured and passed. The Ministerialists, except on the front bench, were silent.
