Trim tho chops,' put them into the saucepan with tho shallots minced finely. Add the water, salt and popper, and simmer gently for U hours. Have tho macaroni' ready boiled in salted water lor half an hour, strain it, add tho chops, cook ten minutes longer, Scald tho oysters, add to the stew, and cc»k lor another ten minutes without boiling.
